EU dispatches election observers

APA / Reporter (April 27, 2010) The European Union election observer mission in Ethiopia on Tuesday dispatched around 90 election observers to the various regions of Ethiopia.The team will observe the next month’s election in Ethiopia where around 30 million Ethiopians are expected to cast their votes.The 90 observer are part of the 160 observers which the EU decided to deploy in Ethiopia to observe the May 23 national election.The observers are expected to meet with regional election officials, candidates, party representatives and various civil society organizations. The observers are expected to monitor the voting and vote counting process in various regions of the country.The observers will officially start their work on Wednesday April 28, according to the EU election observer mission to Ethiopia.
