OLF rebels surrender in Ethiopia as OLF leaders remain under house arrest in Eritrea

ADDIS ABABA – A southern unit of the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF) has surrendered to Ethiopian government authorities following what the rebels called a crisis within the leadership that is under house arrest in the Eritrean capital of Asmara, the state-run Ethiopian Television reported on Friday.The rebels said their operation zone was in southern Ethiopia along the borders with Kenya, and they were the last group of AK-47-totting fighters to have given up armed uprising.
