Discontent towards Uganda’s president, Yoweri Museveni, who has been in office for more than 20 years, has been bubbling up recently and many Ugandans have been pressing him to step down. He has shown no inclination to do so.Mr. Museveni recently accused the kingdom of Buganda of receiving foreign funding to carry out a hate campaign and called on the king “to distance himself from these Judases.”Mr. Museveni, who rose to power as one of Africa’s toughest guerrilla fighters, also said, “We have fought many wars and we shall win this one.”
